My name is Kate - I help educators, parents & carers transform how they support children's emotions & learning
Every child deserves the chance to feel safe, emotionally regulated, and ready to learn. But too many struggle with emotional challenges, poor concentration & focus, and learning difficulties....and many educators, parents & carers are left without the tools to help.
That’s where Neurodevelopmental Therapy comes in.
Through movement-based therapies, we can strengthen connections in the brain and support the nervous system - helping children thrive emotionally, socially and academically.
I am passionate about spreading awareness of these transformative therapies, so more educators, parents & carers have the knowledge and techniques to help children be the best version of themselves.
My Story: From Parent to Practitioner
I started this journey as a parent looking for answers.
When my son was born with Down Syndrome, I searched to find ways to support his development and came across a form of Neurodevelopmental therapy.
I entered the world of Neurodevelopmental Therapy through Primitive Reflexes and Rhythmic Movement Training (RMTi), and it completely changed how I understood child development. This knowledge has further helped me understand my son with his more recent autism diagnosis along with high levels of demand avoidance.
That first training session gave me a "Why doesn’t everyone know about this?" moment.
I knew I had to share this knowledge.
My Qualifications & Experience:
- Neurodevelopmental Therapy Specialist - 6+ years of hands-on experience – Supporting children and adults with a range of challenges
- Rhythmic Movement Training (RMTi) Consultant – movement-based therapy to strengthen pathways in the brain and integrate primitive reflexes
- Rhythmic Movement Training (RMTi) Instructor – qualified instructor teaching RMTi Level 1 & 2 and RMTi for School Readiness with 3+ years of experience teaching educators, therapists and parents / carers how to work with primitive reflexes and Rhythmic Movement Training (RMTi)
- Brain Gym® Movement Facilitator – Supporting children to feel safe, tune into their senses, discharge fight, flight, freeze; support emotional regulation; and help improve attention & focus.
